Solaya Nagai
Solaya Nagai was Born in Saitama Prefecture, Japan in 1991.
She graduated sculpture course at Musashino Art University Graduate School in 2016.
She uses various materials such as acrylic materials, stuffed animals, and ready-made products, in order to create sculptures with multiple boundaries to be exhibited.
Theme of her artwork is to represent questions about the senses, common-sense, and cognition that people unconsciously hold in the wake of small doubts of the things and usual events.
Currently, she has focused on manufacturing techniques for industrial products and mass-produced inexpensive materials, and she is trying to integrate them into her works.
She continues to search for expressions that enable to accord with her own sensory elements to form the "things that no one has seen yet " by mixturing various materials and different techniques.
